INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Therapy, also known as psychotherapy, is a traditional type of therapy that is one-one one between a client and a therapist. Psychotherapy or counseling provides individuals the opportunity to explore their feelings and thoughts with a trained mental health professional. Typically, most individual psychotherapy relies on talk therapy.

COUPLES THERAPY

A communication break-down in a marriage, partnership, or any relationship is one of the main reasons people seek couples therapy. Perhaps the partnership has slowly become accustomed to negative patterns of communication and interaction. You may be feeling frustrated, unloved, alone, concerned, lost, or even embarrassed about your relationship.

FAMILY THERAPY

Family therapy is a type of counseling aimed to assist families to improve their relationships by identifying the problems, issues, and the family’s emotional needs. Family therapy may include all the members of a family. It is different for each family and the specific treatment will depend on your unique family situation.

CHILDREN’S THERAPY

Mental health difficulties in children often manifest as behavioral issues. Childhood is a very special time and also a time of incredible growth for children. Deciding what is normal or age appropriate can be hard to determine at times for parents and caregivers.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is a unique and challenging time for you and your teen. It is where the development of identity, independence, and a sense of belonging begins. In adolescent therapy teens often meet without their parents, as therapy can provide a secure and safe place where they can freely express themselves emotionally. The intended purpose of adolescent therapy is to assist adolescents to develop healthy emotional expression by developing an understanding of age related issues, societal/peer pressures, and the physical and biological influences that create unfavorable behaviors or mental health concerns. We have therapists on staff that specialize in adolescent therapy.

Group Therapy

Group therapy helps people improve the ability to communicate and manage their emotions through a group experience with others struggling with similar issues. It primarily focuses on interpersonal interactions and emotional communication. Research shows that group therapy is a very effective form of treatment. Group therapy is a therapeutic approach in which 5 to 10 people meet under the guidance of a professionally trained therapist with a specific topic or focus. The purpose of group therapy is not to replace individual therapy, but to provide an additional or alternative approach to mental health wellness.

Health Coaching

More and more awareness is given to preventative care, health coaching is seen as a vital aspect of creating healthy lifestyle changes. Health coaches are being recognized as an essential part of people’s health and well-being. There is a huge demand for health coaches, not only are doctors looking to hire more health coaches, but patients are learning that working with a health coach is one of the most effective ways to improve their health.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback, also called EEG biofeedback or neurotherapy, is a type of therapeutic treatment for your brain. It is a way to directly train the brain to self regulate and to perform more efficiently. Neurofeedback is a research-supported treatment to sharpen attention, relieve anxiety, enhance mood, and improve learning, and behavior…without medication. During neurofeedback, you learn to train your brain to correct the faulty brain wave activity, resulting in improved day-to-day functioning. You can think of neurofeedback as “brain training.” Like a muscle, your brain gets stronger the more you train it. And when the brain works better, you feel better and perform better.
