Leigh Ann is a North Carolina native who received her Master of Social Work degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2001 and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2004. Her training includes various approaches and theories including Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy and Family Systems Theory. Leigh Ann has experience providing therapy to children from preschool age into adolescence and to adult clients in individual and family settings.
Leigh Ann has worked with clients to address many different issues including anxiety, depression, building social skills, grief issues, parenting and family communication. Leigh Ann’s approach is client-centered, collaborative and supportive. Leigh Ann believes her role in the therapeutic process is to provide an open and accepting environment where clients are able to identify their goals, build on the positives in their lives and identify new skills and strategies that will foster change when necessary.
