Caroline Horosko
LCSWA
Specializes in Children and Adolescents
Caroline Horosko is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed School Counselor with eight years of experience serving children and families. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology and a Master of Education in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University.
Before becoming a therapist, Caroline worked as a professional school counselor for the Wake County Public School System, supporting students, parents, and educators through academic, social, and emotional challenges. This background gave her a deep understanding of the pressures children and families face in the school environment, including academic stress, peer relationships, behavioral concerns, and emotional well-being. Now, as a therapist, she brings this expertise to her work, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and school-related challenges with a compassionate and practical approach.
Caroline’s therapeutic style is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. She has extensive experience working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, and their families. She especially enjoys incorporating play therapy techniques into sessions and utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approach to help clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
When she’s not providing therapy, you can find Caroline listening to live music or enjoying the outside with her family—including the cutest Bernedoodle around!
