WHO WE HELP · FAMILIES

Help your family work better — together.

Family therapy and parent coaching for the moments parenting feels too hard to do alone. We support families through tough transitions, adolescent challenges, and the everyday strain of raising humans alongside other humans.

WHAT WE HELP WITH

Where we come in

Parent–child conflict

Patterns of escalation, defiance, or shutdown — and rebuilding connection.

Adolescent struggles

Teens dealing with anxiety, depression, school, identity, or risky behavior.

Blended families

Step-parents, co-parenting across households, integrating new family members.

Big transitions

Moves, divorce, loss, new siblings, kids leaving home.

Family communication

Repeating arguments, unspoken resentments, family secrets and silences.

Parent coaching

Practical, strategy-focused work for parents — therapy for you, not just your child.

HOW WE WORK

We work with the whole system

01

Family systems therapy

Identifying the patterns and roles that keep things stuck — and shifting them, gently, together.

02

Parent coaching

Some of our most effective work happens with parents alone. Strategy, perspective, and a place to feel less alone.

03

Individual + family

Often the right path is therapy for a teen or child paired with parent sessions. We make that easy to coordinate.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Built around your family's reality

1

One parent reaches out

You don’t need everyone on board to start. Most family work begins with one parent calling in.

2

Consults

We’ll talk through what’s happening and recommend a starting shape — parent coaching, family sessions, individual, or a combination. Consults vary by clinician, and not everyone participates.

3

First sessions

Often individual or parent-only at first, to understand the system before bringing everyone together.

4

Ongoing work

How often we meet depends on what your family needs — we adjust the mix of who’s in the room based on what’s working.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common questions

No. We’ll figure out the right mix together. Sometimes the most useful work happens with parents alone — kids often shift when the system shifts.

Our family clinicians work with children ages 4 through young adult. Younger children typically work with our play-based child therapists; older children and teens often have their own individual work alongside family sessions.

We can support co-parenting work whether you’re separated, divorced, or just need help getting on the same page. We don’t take sides — the focus is on what’s best for the kids.

We start where they are. If a teen is reluctant, we begin with parents. When the teen does come in, our adolescent therapists are good at building trust without making it feel like therapy.
