Haley Spurlin (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Gardner-Webb University and her Master of Education in School Counseling from Western Carolina University. Haley previously worked as a Professional School Counselor where she supported students with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral needs in the public schools prior to her transition into the clinical mental health setting. Haley enjoys working with children, adolescents, teenagers, and their families. She is passionate about supporting clients and families in understanding what resources and support exist within the community and school systems. Haley believes that client wellbeing is best supported through a team approach which connects families, providers, and school personnel with the common goal of supporting the wellness of children, adolescents, and teens across all settings.

Haley’s approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused while providing an understanding and empathic environment where individuals feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, identities, and experiences. Haley makes every effort to provide a space to clients which is neurodivergent affirming, as well as LGBTQIA+ affirming in her approach to building safe therapeutic relationships with all clients. She enjoys implementing creative and engaging activities into sessions, and pulls from various therapeutic modalities (such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness based techniques) to meet the needs of each client. Haley has provided therapeutic support to clients experiencing anxiety, depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, as well as to individuals who have experienced trauma. She has also offered support to individuals navigating low self-esteem, peer and family conflict, grief and loss, and difficult transitions. In her free time, Haley enjoys spending time with her dog, her friends and family, and in nature.
