Hello! My name is Destiny, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. For the past two years I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through both enhanced services and outpatient therapy, walking alongside children, teens, and adults as they navigate life's challenges and rediscover their strengths. I specialize in family therapy and individual counseling, focusing on areas such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and body image. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe healing begins in a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and valued — a space that feels like home. Together, we'll work to uncover resilience, build coping skills, and move toward lasting emotional well-being. I feel honored to be part of each person's journey toward growth and self-discovery.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and a Certified Integrative Health Coach certified by Duke University. I have over 25 years of experience working with all ages, specifically children and adolescents, across community mental health, 24/7 crisis residential shelter, and private practice settings. I have experience with individual, group, and family therapy, with a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, and school, family, and peer issues. I utilize an eclectic approach toward overall health and wellness, using evidence-based models including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing, alongside art therapy, music, yoga, and holistic health — treating the whole person, not just symptoms. I believe a trusting relationship with individuals, children, and parents is the foundation of healing, and I work to build that trust at a pace that feels right. I would welcome the opportunity to take on these challenges together!

Before becoming a therapist, Caroline worked as a professional school counselor for the Wake County Public School System, supporting students, parents, and educators through academic, social, and emotional challenges. This background gave her a deep understanding of the pressures children and families face in the school environment, including academic stress, peer relationships, behavioral concerns, and emotional well-being. Now, as a therapist, she helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and school-related challenges with a compassionate and practical approach. Caroline's therapeutic style is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused, with extensive experience working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, and their families. As a social worker with over 13 years of experience, I feel especially drawn towards mindfulness-based therapy. I work with adults who are looking to foster a deeper connection to their inner selves. My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative — together we'll create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. With additional training as a registered yoga teacher, I integrate mind-body awareness into the therapeutic process, helping you understand the interconnectedness of your mental and physical health. I have a special interest in supporting women impacted by domestic violence and gender-based violence, offering a safe, empowering space for healing and self-discovery. I also incorporate feminist principles to challenge societal norms, promote equality, and honor the lived experiences of women, providing a trauma-informed framework that respects the intersectionality of identity and power.
