Olivia Sandin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with 4 years of experience serving children and families. She received her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from North Carolina State University. Olivia completed her Master’s of Social Work at North Carolina State University and is currently pursuing certification to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She is also a school social worker at charter schools in Wake County where she supports students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges to succeed in the educational setting through the use of individual and group interventions. Olivia is extremely passionate about helping young people with disabilities recognize and celebrate their unique strengths and abilities, and has extensive experience providing children with disabilities with services as a part of the Individualized Intervention Plans (IEPs).

Olivia loves to help young people develop coping strategies and healthy thinking patterns that will help them become confident adults with healthy relationships to themselves and others! She believes that therapy should be collaborative and empathetic. Olivia uses a variety of different modalities including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy to meet her clients’ needs.

Olivia has provided services to children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and children who have experienced trauma. She has also helped children navigate peer and family conflict, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, and emotional regulation.
