School Based Mental Health Program

School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) services offer accessible, student-centered mental health care directly within your child’s school. As the first point of contact, your child’s school plays a vital role in identifying concerns early and connecting students to supportive services in a familiar and trusted environment.

These services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, and collaboration with school staff and families. Licensed mental health professionals work in partnership with educators to support students’ emotional well-being, academic success, and social development.

By integrating care into the school setting, SBMH services help reduce barriers to treatment, decrease absenteeism, improve classroom behavior, and support positive academic outcomes. Services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to each student’s unique needs.

School-based mental health programs promote early intervention, empower students with coping skills, and strengthen the home-school connection—ensuring children receive the right support at the right time, starting right where they are.
