Qualifications

Enrolled graduate students who are completing requirements for a master’s level degree in mental health, counseling, or closely related fields of study, and are seeking state licensure (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT),

Demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidates must be able to see clients within Horizons operating hours (Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm).
What to Expect
Hands-on clinical experience in a mental healthcare private practice setting utilizing a range of unique modalities, i.e., play therapy and expressive art therapies.

Short- and long-term counseling opportunities

Work with diverse populations

Weekly supervision provided by a fully licensed mental health provision.

Weekly group supervision and case consultation provided by a fully licensed mental health provision.

Maintain a caseload of clients.

Documentation training

Practice implementing and integrating various therapeutic approaches
Commitment

Orientation and training prior to official internship start date.

10-15 hours per week, depending on student’s practicum and internship hours needed to complete.

Attend mandatory weekly group supervisions.
